Hey, we know that sounds a bit dramatic, but we’re kinda excited because we’ve been working on ‘re-birthing’ our 2015 MiH initiative into it’s second incarnation for a while now.
We’re delighted that this May we’re able to re-launch, and help more women in business get the benefits many of us have already gained from being part of a small close-knit group that supports each other to develop their businesses or realise their goals.
Now is the opportunity for you ladies to get involved, (or re-involved) with our refreshed, new and improved MiH 2.0, and receive some leadership training at the same time.
So what are we talking about with this ‘Make It Happen’ thingy? Well, does any of these statements sound like you?:-
- I’d like to be more accountable and follow through with the actions I know I need to take.
- Working on my own most of the time, I could just do with another head to knock ideas around with.
- I get distracted and sometimes struggle to get clear on what really needs done next.
- I can feel sometimes quite alone in trying to make my business work.
- I seem to keep repeating failures and lose motivation or faith sometimes.
- I just simply miss working in a team.
- I really want to turn this idea or project into reality.
- I’d like to develop my leadership, listening and relationship building skills
- I just need a little Coaching to help me work out a solution to……
Simply put, ‘Make it Happen’ is a way in which, as part of a small group, you can tackle these issues.
At the May re-launch you will get trained on how to get the group going and keep momentum, as well as training on the world-wide tried and tested leadership development method, Action Learning, that you can use within your group to Make Things Happen.
We’re delighted to have as our trainer for the event, Jill Carnduff who is also part of WLWIB and an MiH’er herself .
Join us at our next event for informal networking – we would love to see you!

Her interest in politics has been with her all her adult life, being elected President of Glasgow University Students’ Representative Council during her time at Glasgow University between 1998-1991. Her interest in social welfare continued after university where she worked for Ark Housing Association, then moving into her career as a social worker in 1998, which continued until she was elected as an MSP in 2007.
Angela has also served as a local Councillor for West Lothian between 1997 and 2007. In 2014 she was promoted to the Scottish Cabinet in the first of three cabinet positions to date, as Cabinet Secretary for Training, Youth and Women’s Employment. Clouds? What Clouds?

Who’d have thought it could ever happen – hotter in central Scotland than most of Spain, in Summertime!
And on our last GOLD networking THE Hottest day most of us have ever experienced in Scotland – up to 39 degrees – wow ladies, great networking, you do know how to make the temperature rise! 🙂

Endings and beginnings!
What’s ending? – well only Summertime – and what a summer – hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy the sunshine and stored up some energy for the months ahead!
So, you might ask, what’s beginning? Well, that’s for each one of us to take a little time out and ponder on. As we come to the end of this seasonal cycle, it can be time to review other cycles in our life and business.
Often when one cycle ends, be that a season, a client relationship or a business strategy that’s not working, it gives us an opportunity to take time out and craft a different approach to what we’re working on. To try something new, or adjust a strategy that’s not quite working!
So, if you’re wanting to chat through what’s next on your business or life agenda, or looking for help to make some new contacts, we invite you to join us at our monthly GOLD networking (on 30th August) to explore, share and seek some help and contacts from the group to help you re-ignite or reach those personal and business goals.
